This year at #ETER2022 Forum Maria Sunér will speak about Minerals and metals are indispensable to reach the Green Deal goal.
Minerals and metals are indispensable to reach climate-neutrality by 2050, but they can only be considered green if they are produced sustainably. The EU has created an extensive regulatory framework on environmental protection, mine closure plans, waste management plans, social responsibility as well as transparency requirements which need to be observed throughout the supply chain. The more ambitious climate targets are set, the more metals and minerals are needed for a clean energy transition.
