ABOUT
3rd Energy Transition and Emission Reduction for the Metals and Mining Industry is coming back to the Swedish capital to re-join under one roof decision makers and key industry experts to continue the discussion on decarbonisation and emission reduction efforts.
The three-day business networking event features insightful case studies and presentations from leaders in the metal and mining industry. The spotlight of the forum is a half-day site and mine tour of the GRANGEX Dannemora mine in Östhammar municipality.
The Metals & Mining Industry has to ensure a firm and sustainable implementation and scalability of Green Mining Practices on an enterprise level to be able to meet Net Zero goals and increase operating capacity. The roadmaps for the decarbonisation of mining operations include different options from
switching to alternative fuels and green hydrogen, to incorporating renewable energy sources and considering strategies for the decarbonisation of assets on different levels.
The conference aims to assist the Metals & Mining Industry by scaling up sustainable and efficient mining operations, creating a roadmap for greening mines, decarbonizing existing operations and enabling future growth with green energy, using a targeted approach to mines with the highest emissions,
decarbonizing mine fleets and overcoming infrastructural challenges associated with adopting these practices at scale.
Join us in Stockholm to meet with industry leaders for in-depth discussions and get insights on a journey to a zero-emission mine.
Exploring the GRANGEX Dannemora Mine: A Site and Mine Tour
You're Invited:
A Unique Opportunity to Explore GRANGEX Dannemora Mine in Östhammar. Join Us for a Half-Day Site and Mine Tour and Discover the Secrets of This Fascinating Mining Location. Limited Spots Available.
GRANGEX Dannemora will be the first producer of high-quality iron ore concentrate in the EU, and with the
smallest carbon footprint.
GRANGEX Dannemora intends to restart the Dannemora mine in Östhammar municipality.
GRANGEX’s goal fulfilment is achieved through a comprehensive set of requirements during project devel-
opment so that all equipment and all production methods are – to the extent practicable – aimed at elimi-
nating carbon dioxide emissions. All input products, such as hydraulic oils, lubricating oils and the like, shall
be fossil-free.
GRANGEX Dannemora mine plans to restart production of iron ore in the Dannemora mine. The subsequent
enrichment process is adapted to meet the expected large increase in demand for iron ore concentrates
with iron contents above 67%, which is primarily emerging from the environmentally sustainable conversion
of the fully integrated steelworks in Europe. The geographical location of the GRANGEX Dannemora mine is
unique from a European point of view, with access to two alternative export ports within a distance of 40-90 km, and as such is the iron ore producer that is closest to the larger integrated European steelworks.
